Play Time by Jacques Tati

Play Time is a brilliant film by Jacques Tati, full of witty visual and audio gags in a artfully artificial urban Paris.  Shot from 1964 -1967, I highly recommend this film, watch it while sipping red wine and nibbling on terrine and cornichons! Stylish fun! Look out for the end restaurant scene, it's an outrageous mess!

Where The Wild Things Are

Oh joy of joy- watch this trailer and feel excited about this film! Scheduled for release in the US this Oct, we may need to wait until the end of the year to enjoy it here in Australia. I for one, can't wait! Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeah's was involved in the musical score along with Carter Burwell, a film score composer.

Paper Heart

As a huge fan of Arrested Developement, I saw this trailer with Michael Cera and thought i'd share it with you! Seemingly a documentary about love, it's actually a faux doco but looks very sweet anyway. His love interest is Charlyne Yi (from Knocked Up) and she co-wrote the film.

Check the trailer. Worth watching? No release date in Australia yet... but it won an award at Sundance so hopefully it'll get released here. It appeals to the romantic in me!
